Payscale: $37.00 - $45.00 Plus bonus hours for all hours produced over 150 hours per month

Performance Objectives:

 

• Lead repair and maintenance projects, ensuring timely completion

• Provide technical support to other mechanics and collaborate with Production Manager to optimize shop operations

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and effectiveness in customer fleet maintenance and repair processes

• Lead continuous improvement projects within the shop, identifying areas for optimization and implementing innovative solutions to streamline processes and reduce waste.

Competencies:

 

• Expert-level knowledge of diesel engine design and operation, including advanced diagnostics and performance complaints

• Mastery of transmission systems, including automatic and manual transmission, and proficiency in troubleshooting complex issues

• Specialized expertise in suspension system upgrades and repair for improved handling and stability

• Advanced brake system diagnostics skills including ABS system

• Extensive experience with air brake systems, diagnostics, inspections and repairs

• In-depth understanding of aftertreatment systems, including advanced troubleshooting and repair techniques

• Proficiency in advanced electrical diagnostics, including CAN bus systems and multiplex wiring

• Ability to conduct comprehensive 90-day BIT inspections and Annual DOT inspections, ensuring compliance and safety

• Ability to proficiently use our software system, Fullbay.

• Must provide your well-rounded assortment of tools to perform most job functions

Experience Required:

 

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Completion of a vocational training program in diesel mechanics or equivalent work experience

• 5+ years of experience in the diesel truck maintenance and repair industry, with a track record of leadership and advanced technical skills
